The Heath family have been in the Hospitality Industry for over 20 years, and over the years have hosted charity events, August Bank Holiday weekend events, Christmas Parties and of course, lots and lots of weddings. Being no strangers to catering, around 18 months ago, they began their very own onsite catering team, Stable Yard Catering.
In March, the Government closed event venues and didn’t reopen the doors until August 1st for ceremonies only for up to 30 guests, and then August 15th they began allowing a ceremony and dining, again for only up to 30 guests. Due to the restricted guidelines, they have now had to postpone over 140 weddings!
With so few events at the wedding venue, the Heath’s have had to find ways to keep their team in employment and found The Royal Oak Rushton to be a fantastic opportunity for both the team and their local community.
In The Kitchen
The Heath’s are bringing with them their catering company’s Head Chef, Luke Staton, who has been in the catering industry for over 15 years and is well known for his delicious creations!
He is also the co-founder of Leek based bagel company, Holy Bread, which he will certainly be including in the menu for The Royal Oak Rushton and we are very excited to show you the incredible new menu choices!
Behind The Bar
The bar team are no strangers to a busy bar after hosting events of up to 600 guests at the wedding venue and are really looking forward to serving guests from the local community!
